Studio Fernandes

Interior design for renovations and custom builds across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Northern NSW.

Helping time-poor professionals create homes that work for how they live. No trends for the sake of trends, no rooms that look good in photos but fall apart in real life. Just thoughtful design that saves you from expensive mistakes and months of decision fatigue.

Who I Work With

Most of my clients are professionals juggling full-time jobs, families, and life while trying to renovate or build a home. They don't have six months to spend on Pinterest or browsing suppliers, and they're tired of second-guessing every decision.

They want someone to take the lead, make confident recommendations, and deliver a home that functions beautifully without requiring a PhD in interior design to maintain it.

If you're sick of researching tiles and just want someone to tell you what will actually work, we'll probably get along.

Services

Whether you need complete design documentation to hand your builder, or full project management so you never have to think about paint colour again, there's a package that fits.

I offer concept design packages, full design service with onsite consultations and detailed documentation, and project management for people who want to show up at the end to a finished home.

How I Work

Every project starts with understanding how you live. Not how your home should look on Instagram, but how you move through your space, what you need to store, and what drives you crazy about your current setup.

From there, I create a clear plan with everything specified: materials, colours, layouts, lighting, the works. Your builder gets documentation so detailed they won't need to guess (and charge you for it), and you get a home that functions properly and looks cohesive without being fussy.

The goal is to create a space you love living in 10 years from now, not just for the first six months.

Why Hire a Designer?

Because one wrong tile decision costs more than my design fee. Because poorly planned lighting requires electricians to rip open walls. Because a kitchen layout that doesn't work means living with it for 20 years or spending $30K to fix it.

Most people think hiring a designer is a luxury. But we see it as insurance against mistakes you can't undo.

I know what works, what doesn't, and what's going to drive you insane in three years. That knowledge is worth paying for.
